Red Square
Made use of my 'Friend Of The British Library' card to visit the exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution - an event that changed the world, whatever you think about it. Very good mix of archive newsreel footage, pictures, maps, audio clips and original documents - could have spent much longer looking round.
Afterwards we walked over to Kings Cross to find somewhere for lunch and passed the Francis Crick Institute, now completed. I remember this project being discussed during my time at UCL Medical School, so was very interested to see the finished building. Visually very striking and well worth a return visit with the 'big camera' to capture it properly - have included an extra of it to remind myself to do this some time.
