Sweet
A few weeks ago we booked train tickets to go to Edinburgh for the day, hopefully to take people pictures at the Festival Fringe. We left home at 8 am and got back at 10.30 pm. Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind and there was light rain for most of the time. When we visited the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009 and 2013 there was a real buzz and lots of interesting subjects. Maybe it was the rain putting a damper on things or maybe the event has changed. The best photograph I got was a candid shot taken while we were waiting at the station.
But it was a day out and we visited Edinburgh Photographic Society's annual exhibition as well as an exhibition by by Magnum photographer Josef Koudelka. The latter was of two large folding books of black and white prints. The images were rather stark and not really my type of photography. However one of the books was interesting as it documented the huge wall that divides Israel and Palestine which we saw for ourselves about 10 or 12 years ago.
