An early start and a walk to Alcock Tarn above Grasmere. The light at the tarn wasn't good so I've chosen this view looking south to Windermere. On the way up I noticed flags and after a while realised they're for Grasmere Sports tomorrow. The extra shows one and the view down to  the showfield on the right with the marquees visible. 

This was followed by a morning of housework then 1½ hours of gardening in the afternoon. On the wine now while I cook! Oh, and I don't know what I did on the walk but I've been waddling around like a penguin all day.

I won't have much time for taking photos or blip in the coming week but will try and keep up with journals and post some pics.
