Candy Bars

My school are having a MacMillan coffee afternoon on Thursday and I was asked to do some baking. Not sure why but decided upon my Auntie Helen's Candy Bars.
My Auntie Helen is 82, and when she moved into a home her dumpling clout and recipe book were passed to me. I have never made these before but remember watching her make them when I was a kid- the waiting for each layer to cool before you could move into the next.
This is me making the 'candy' layer paying close attention to her recipe. Even her handwriting makes me nostalgic! I'll be so disappointed if these don't turn out!
