Corn Poppies

There are still one or two poppies in Pollok's wild flower patch clinging on to enjoy these final warm days of summer. Their fragile stems are tougher and stronger than they look as the flowers continue to stand tall even after the downpours of rain.

L and I enjoyed a walk in the park this morning. It started off fairly damp but after coffee my thin, waterproof jacket was bundled into my backpack and off we went to continue our walk.
