Blooming heather
Whitby backblip 2
After some final packing and a walk for Louie, we loaded the car and caravan and set of for Whitby just before 2.00pm, predictably a little later than intended. Lots of slow traffic and roadworks on the way, and we stopped off briefly to meet our friend Carole to pick up her fiddle for some minor adjustments. We arrived at the leisure centre (the venue for the Craft and Music Fair) just in time to drop off the instruments before it closed for the day!
After a quick meal we joined our friends Judith and Alan in their camper van - a pleasant evening drinking raspberry wine.
The heather on the North York Moors is in full bloom and there were some wonderful views as we drove along.
