Herstmonceux Medieval Festival

Despite living less than 10 miles away I'd not been to this show before. Chris had asked me to drive him and his friends there. I was contemplating going when a free ticket became available for me to go with Vikki and my grandsons as her husband had to work.

We didn't get to watch the seige of the castle as there were too many people in the way but we did get to see the horse display, the jousting, the falconry and the boys' favourite, the Theatre of Mud. The stalls were interesting too. There was still more to see and do but we didn't have enough time to do it all. Maybe next year.
