Friday: Dominion Building

Having not seen them for a while I am happy to report that Mum Raccoon and her four babies are doing well. All five of them were having a fine time in our water feature at the front of the house this morning. The babies are actually fully grown - it was quite funny seeing them all trying to vie for a place.

Shannon, our catsitter, came over for a barbecue this evening. A fine time was had. She has really become a good friend. I recently read a blip of mine from when we first arrived here last year, musing about the people out there whom we didn't know yet but who would become our friends during our time here. Things have turned out pretty well on that front.

I had a meeting today on the edge of Gastown so took a picture of the Dominion Building while I was there. When it was completed in 1910 it was the tallest commercial building in the British Empire. Hard to fathom now when you look at the likes of the Shard or the Petronas Towers.
