River of Flowers

Saturday: Red Admirals

There's an unusal buddleia growing behind the greenhouse, the individual flowers are peach coloured with mauve centres, they are arranged in small globes and don't look like the common buddelia. Maybe a little like "Moonlight Pale" on this page - http://www.buddlejagarden.co.uk/weyer.html
For the last few days these flowers have been covered with dozens of red admiral butterflies, bees and hoverflies - see extra photo.
MrD and I were busy outdoors all morning, he was cleaning the moss growing between the block paviors and I found more kale to transplant, Asparagus kale this time. Also potted up kaffir lilies, violets and ox-eye daisies.
By mid-afternoon we were both exhausted, he watched the football and I went to post some empty ink cartridges, RNLI will get money for them. I walked down the lane and collected few more blackberries, they are very early this year.
