Plumbing on Friday!
At 6 am our neighbour phoned to inform us that there is again water dripping into his bathroom! Great start of the day!!!
Neil switched the water off again and phoned various plumbers on his way to work. He found one that was scheduled for 2 pm and planned to be back home by then.
The plumber(Darren) arrived an hour early and started searching for the root cause. Apparently it was not - or not only - the bidet we removed 2 weeks ago. He thought it was under the bath tub and fixed some leak there. When Neil arrived things were almost done. But Neil insisted that he should have a closer look in the actual corner where it was dripping and Darren cut the floor open. In the end they found another leek that was fixed and our bathroom looks quite "interesting" with several big holes in the floor. This will definitely "help" us to get the bathroom done soon!
At least we are pretty sure now, that the neighbour will not phone again at 6 am ....
Once that was done and Darren had left we went out for a deserved coffee at papercup cafe this time. We were too late for the roasters and actually also late for the cafe - but we promised to be out at 6.
after the coffee we walked along Great Western Road and I stopped at a new shop which seems to be opening sometime soon. I always find it challenging to remember was what there before when something new is coming. Although I walk past a lot!
While looking at the window just ready to take a picture a guy came out the door and started chatting to us. In true and very Glaswegian manner he invited us in to have a look what they were doing and explained us in all detail what they had already done and how the shop will look. It is going to be a guitar (repair) shop. Not that either of us has a clue about guitars, but he did not care at all. It was a funny encounter and we made sure we admired everything they - or he had already done. He was extremely friendly and so enthusiastic about everything, and treated us if we were experts and knew exactly whet he was talking about. In the end he let us go and closed the shop and I got a photo with him.
We continued to walk home passing by Queen Margaret Drive where we met Radj on the street and had another chat.
At home we both continued working a couple of hours and ended up on the couch watching "the Sugar Film".
Blip is Dave in front of Jimmy Egypt's Guitar Shop - opening soon.
