Street art
A transformation took place today. In the village there is a triangular piece of land at a road junction on which there is a small building which used to be public toilets. The toilets were removed some years ago and the building used for storage of council equipment. Attempts have been made before to tidy it up and make a small garden but the building was uninspiring. Recently, encouraged by the local police officer, the youth club designed some street art to cover the building. A professional street artist used their drawings and involved the youngsters in the actual painting and the little eyesore was transformed - see extra for whole picture. They were working there all day and tomorrow they are going again to plant the garden. It is lovely to see young people taking an interest in their surroundings - I just hope the older ones don't spoil their work when they come out of the pub!
