A Busy Day
This morning was spent in the final rounding up of items from the Connecticut house we want to pack for our upcoming trip, trying to remember what said items were, trying to remember where we'd left the list telling us what said items were, and also packing up Mabel's food and equipment in order to bring her to our son Tom's house, where she will be staying until our return in October.
We arrived at Tom's place at lunch time, and spent a lovely afternoon with grandsons Elliott and Henry, a picnic in the garden for lunch, and acclimating Mabel to her new surroundings. Once she realized that young Henry could do with some assiduous licking and cleaning up after his baby food lunch, she decided this wasn't going to be such a bad place to stay after all! Naturally, I did not have a camera to hand while we were there, so I must give Kristin credit for the pictures in this collage!
Extra shows my precious new painting of Sally in its new frame, which was waiting for us in the mail when we returned to Boston late this afternoon!
