time for tea

This morning a small band of Samba Sisters played under St Michael's Bridge in Dumfries to encourage the 225 runners who were taking part in the Doonhamer 10k race. We played right through from when the first runners whizzed around the corner to when the last puffed past us. 

Just as we were about to pack up, Carolyn (who only recently joined the band) asked if anyone would like a cup of tea, and produced flasks of hot water, mugs, tea, coffee, milk and sugar out of her bag. She even had my favourite peppermint tea...what a star.

D  was our photographer this morning, and here he is, using the opportunity of a good phone signal to get some more music for his growing collection..
