Through the door

These metal fly curtains may keep the flies out, but they certainly don't keep a Robin in or out.  In fact, he uses them as a support whilst stepping over the threshold.

This was quite early this morning - he and his parents were away by 0820, to meet G's family at Knebworth.  We were invited, but felt disinclined to brave the Bank Holiday traffic.  Instead, we've had quite a lazy day - bit of watering, bit of cleaning, nipped down the road to an open garden. 

And now to sit and enjoy our garden, and read a little.

Edit: Oh, and we've started thinking more purposefully about our trip to New Zealand next spring.
