The Village Party

This is an annual event that has been going on fot many years. There was a pause a few years back when the older generation gave up organising the "fermented herring" party. That had to be outside because the fermented herring smells so bad!!!
Then the younger generation took over and, perhaps wisely, decided to abandon the fermented herring and serve barbecued meat instead. Since they had young kids too the concept involves games everyone can play, and less drinking compared to the "old days".
So we had a very nice evening, chatting to our neighbours, and eating delicious food.  As the meal reached the coffee, cake, (and whisky) stage our visitors arrived on their trip south. It was so nice to welcome Björn and Anna-Lena to our house, and to start by letting them meet a lot of the village in a barn!
