Cross is Back
Actually, cross was back yesterday, with a race up in Fife, but even if I was riding I couldn't really justify both. So since I was signed up to ride this one before I broke my arm, Tweedcross, down between Galashiels and Melrose, we headed south.
Jeremy Durrin (top right), an American pro who seems to have a liking for riding in Scotland, took the A Race; while Alicia Lawson (top centre) was the best of the women in the B Race (all the more remarkable given she only took this up a year ago on Bute).
Davie Hamill and Matt Smith (top left and bottom respectively, and both top blokes in cross) round out the inability to choose just one shot from the day; which brought about the expected frustration that I expected from not being able to ride; and possibly a little more effort in the turbo session in the evening, thinking about being able to get into the thick of things again.
