A lovely afternoon.
The children (now adults) of some very good friends of ours decided to throw an early party for their mother who will be 70 later this year. Couples from 30/40 years ago were there and it was quite remarkable how we all so comfortably slipped back into those old roles. She has for many years been in poor health. She was on good form and came outside to sit in the shaded picnic area and eat her buffet and engage in reminiscing about years past as well as being quite forthright about many current situations. It was good the weather was so kind as it enabled her to really participate in her day.
My blip today is a now rather battered and tatty Red Admiral that enjoyed the late afternoon sun on the buddleia.
