A bit of the Fringe

Soc Cafe in the morning, where five of us discussed 'What do you think of when you hear the word "soul" ' and 'Does money ruin art?' Then I went to the Traverse to see 'The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk' with P. An excellent play - sold out and the winner of the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh award last week - it told the story of Marc Chagall and his wife Bella. Two actors and two musicians told a wonderful story against the backdrop of European history. It prompted me to find out more about Chagall and Bella. She died in 1944 and Chagall published her most famous work (The Burning Lights) posthumously - echoes of Michel and Eva from last week.
