A different kind of lock

The looping of a line over a cleat on a dock as shown is the method sailors use to lock their boats securely to the dock. Sailboats have many types of locking cleats for managing lines and halyards. It was fun to explore the boat today for all the different kinds. In the end, I settled on this one for its texture and colour.
