There is  an article from Tip-Hero I had saved and it tells us about the little stickers on our fruits and veggies. They usually have a bar code on them for scanning and a PLU code, which is a 'price lookup' number and identifies the fruit or veggie, and how the food was grown. There are usually 4 numbers on the code, example: bananas are labled with the code of 4011 and all organic produce starts with the number 9.. an organic banana would be: 94011.
