~Day's End In Stone Canyon~

Took a late afternoon ramble in my beloved Stone Canyon where the photography opportunities are never ending. And with Pusch Ridge in the background, illuminated by the setting sun, this place seems almost magical to me. Add to that the sounds of the evening desert, like coyotes packs calling to each other and the quails mating song it becomes more than magical, kind of otherworldly. The evenings are getting a bit cooler so the walking is more pleasant, it is a chore sometimes in the extreme desert temperatures. The small annoying insects are much less annoying now too. All this combines to make this a grand time of day!
