Saw these lovely sculptures at a village fete. I was quite taken with them until I saw the price tag of £185 on the cockerel.
A few weeks ago we had 3 of those pottery chicken things (are they meant to hold eggs) in the shop.The same woman bought all three and explained that she had an area under trees that was covered in bark chippings and she had several of these dotted around as ornaments. I can imagine that they looked quite quirky.
I always like the idea of re-purposing things.
