Our Last Day Together

The most amazing baking project took place at our house this morning! Dolly's bear Lewis has helped me to pick recipes from my new Dog Biscuit cookbook, and today it was time to bake! Oh wow! Blueberry muffins and banana and peanut cake. Awesome!! We had lots of fun and the baked treats were super yummy! Heidi made us a very nice full English breakfast for lunch. It was very tasty!

Since this was our last whole day together, we went to Gamla Linköping in the afternoon for ice cream. This is what we do on our first and last days. Last year, we sat on a small veranda having tea because it was raining with thunder and lightning. On the first day this year, it was late in the day so no ice cream, but me and Dolly went for a forest walkie together. Today, it was sunny and the ice cream parlour was open, so we sat down to enjoy the biggest ice creams of the season. And I got some! Yay!! Missing Dolly because she should have been here with us.

We went walkies through the old city streets, and then on the forest path past the wild boars and a new addition, a moose. Not a real one. We checked a tiny allotment cottage before we went back to the cars. Yes, cars. Alfie was with, and guess what?! I got to sit on Dolly's seat, in Dolly's bed with the travel buddies and with her seat belt on, and I got to ride all the way home without mum!!! A great adventure! I love Alfie! And Heidi, of course.

I got the last piece of my trachea chew in the evening. We had a late dinner with leftover ostkaka and Lickin' Liver before the very last bedtime walkie. We will miss Heidi so much...
