Sharing space

My allotment toad was hiding in his normal place under an old bit of wood - the remains of cherry stones show mice have been there too.  Dug up the remainder of my potatoes (many full of wire worm and slugs sadly)  but enough to feed me and a few friends. Gave away surplus courgettes, runner beans, cucumber and beetroot - pity I can't stagger them better.  The autumn raspberries have started fruiting and, like the blackberries, seem to be pretty plump and tasty this year. What perfect bank holiday weather - pity I have a streaming cold but that didn't seem to matter when I was outside!
