big red dahlias

We went to a little horticultural show today. There were lots of vegetables, flowers, cakes, jams, and dahlias - a lot of dahlias! Some were absolutely huge, and quite a few cactus dahlias (Mr I liked them and wants me to grow some next year). This pic is a double exposure - I like doing them - of some really big red ones.

A few stalls too selling hand-made jewellery, glass, knitted garments, and a lady who made greetings cards. Plus a second-hand book stall where we got some great bargains.

A really nice afternoon.
