back-blip
Time for us to head back down South. A bit of hassle at Waverly - no platform number until right before we were due to leave, which is not ideal with a small child and a large suitcase. As well as this, the train was so far from the platform I basically had to leap onto the train with Amelie before jumping back for my suitcase. Finally we were settled in some seats enjoying our picnic and the journey was relatively stress free. There was a bit of a funny moment when Amelie asked me if the young Jewish men sitting at our table were chefs... And later when they were discussing how to sew on a button, "in and out, in and out" Amelie piped up, "in, out, in, out, shake it all about?" She thought they were talking about the hokey cokey....
One very pleased Daddy met us at Kings Cross and Amelie refused to let go of him all the way home.
