Mono Monday - Organic

Today I was given beautiful houseleeks by my dear colleague. She digged them out at her cottage and brought them for my terrace. I have planted two shallow pots with them and a bamboo stick I have from Thailand where they sell them as 'long drink glasses'. I hope they will be happy in my urban garden.

Houseleek is called 'netresk' in Czech meaning 'no thunder'. People used to plant them on they roofs believing they would protect them from lightnings striking their houses. I have plenty of protection now :)
