Public transport

Today we were all off to the show ahhh and I swore I would never take them. Dad had the bright idea and then I couldn't get the kids to calm down after it was mentioned. Another one of his amazing ideas was to catch the train in. It didn't seem like a bad idea at the time! we left our house at 8.35am I know this as I checked the clock to make sure we didn't miss the hurstbridge train as they only come every 30 mins. The first thing that went wrong the carpark was chock a block and there was no parking at all after circling around a few times we missed that train, we decided to go to the next stop to see if we could catch it....yay we were in luck we had beat it there and found a carpark. Second problem the last time we had used the train it was the old met way system new myki ahhh no idea how to use it, after several minutes at the bloody ticket machine, we figured out that you couldn't punched a myki card at the machine only add money to it ahhh what kinda systems is this!!!

Train is here we miss it again. We go back to husrtbridge train station at least the is a ticket man who we can ask for assistance on where to get these myki cards. Bonus we are in luck I can purchase them here. 3 tickets please $54.00 later!!!! as we both nearly fall over, we use the train once a year if that so what good is this myki card to us just a s!@@# system if you ask me, we just wanted a one way ticket. We will probably lose them the next time we need them.

Anyhoo we are on the train at 9.30am. Going good until we reach Heidelberg station. We hear loud screaming and bad language lucky us we are the carriage that gets to witness a lady who is either high on something, drunk or mentally ill. Shouting someone is after her, someone took her phone, and a number of different things that we couldn't understand, she decides to just sit on the door of the train so the door couldn't shut, and just shout at the passengers 'don't judge me' I'll get you old man look away' yep interesting, after 30min of this my dad has had enough he walks up there and removes her, it did little as she was back on the next carriage it seems we would not be making it to the show.

A announcement comes on over the speakers to evacuate the train. Great a packed out train gets off. Lady still sitting there just smiling. We are told to board 2nd train. Now we a jam packed in to this other train. Dad and I are over it by now. Pull up at show at 11.30pm Kids are hungry, and needing toilet.

Show was ok, few rides, few show bags big rip off, walked around too many people. Try and find our way back get lost, finally find the way out. Get home at 4.00. ahhh now to rest. NEVER again.
