Bite By Bite

I think my daughter Maddy enjoys the fact that she can still eat whatever she wants, as late as she wants, and still get a decent night's sleep.I don't particularly find it amusing as I'm usually sitting next to her as she endeavors to content herself.

I remember when I could do the same thing, but I don't remember the moment when I couldn't anymore. I just know that those days are but a memory at this point.

I've attempted to relive those days a few times in the past year only to be reminded that they're gone and can't be revisited. So I'm left with living vicariously through her late night adventures, bite by bite.
