Tiny Tuesday - Tiny Tears
This is Abies Delavayi (I wonder if it knows?), a Chinese Fir with the most startlingly blue fir cones. Today, as we wandered the Westonbirt Arboretum, we came across her crying... over what, though, is a Mystery. What makes a fir cone blue?
Sap, one assumes, rather than tears, and very sticky too.
The weather is muggy and beginning to close up. Rain is expected. Not as much as in Texas, happily. Massive sympathy to anyone out there. I wonder if it will change the perception of climate chaos in the Whitehouse?
And beneath the trees where nobody sees, well, there's an extra tiny toadstool...
