Photographers At War

Cheddars and I met in the Fox Inn, Holgate, York - a fine and protected Victorian hostelry which will be featured in a future blip, promise.

We met to hold a Secret Council of War and plan how to set a bomb under the Photographic Society.

In the nicest possible way, we just feel it needs a bit of gingering up. Like lots of camera clubs; but hey, I've gone back on the committee, so I have to shoulder some blame from hereon...

The cover of this book demonstrates one of our colleague's (failed) attempts with a tilt shift lens. Allegedly.

Inside the book are some wonderful images of very old York, indeed some by Roger Fenton, one of the very first war photographers.

York is good at heritage and tradition. Onward.
