Tantalising

We have been under cloud cover since arriving at lunchtime. For the last hour there have been distant signs of the sky clearing somewhere over Cumbria. I am keeping my digits crossed.

It has been well over forty years since I last spent time up here
skywatching but I recall the experience with some awe. Would love to see some stars tonight. It would make for a cold night, though that would be pleasant as last night at Sweethope we were too hot to sleep. It has been 9 degrees here all afternoon, with a windchill to factor in. Actually wore a fleece jacket and a hat to walk the dog!
