Stirling Castle Esplanade.

On the castle esplanade there are three monuments/memorials. One is a statue of King Robert the Bruce, another is a memorial to the Indian "Mutiny" and there is this one, in memory of the fallen in the South African war.
I rather liked the heroic pose, rifle at the ready, silhouetted against the sky.
