Forest therapy
Forest therapy — walking through the woods, using your senses to connect with nature, staying in the present moment. The ultimate stress antidote that costs nothing.
Studies show that adults who regularly take walks in green spaces have better concentration and are significantly less likely to suffer from depression than those who don’t. Extended time in the forest reduces levels of the stress hormone cortisol while increasing our sense of vigour.
We had our share of forest therapy at Haikanvuori. Once again Sami the dog as my blip hero.
