Digging In

We went to the Dogs of War day at the World War 1 trenches in Pollock Park today. I really enjoyed exploring the trenches and going over the top (it was hard enough as a fit young 6 year old, how they did it terrified, weighed down by equipment and mud I don't know). There were talks about the role of dogs (and other animals) during the war and lots of pictures to look at as well as lots of real dogs doing demonstrations.
