Loaves

We don't make bread every day. We don't eat home made bread all the time. Usually there's a humble shop bought sliced loaf kicking about the bread bin and we make our own bread when the notion takes us.

Some days though the sliced loaf has been reduced to the heal and it's seems easier to make a loaf than to trudge to the shop in the village. Which has the added bonus of me getting fresh baked bread for lunch.

But!

The problem with home made bread is that the two teenage boys come home after school and devour half a loaf each, which means that we have to make twice the amount of bread just to make it to breakfast and still have something to add a scrape of marmalade to.

Of course, now that I've made 2 loaves, they'll probably just eat a loaf each instead.
