Has there been rain down South?

Long drive home from Yorkshire, we set off early to beat the Bank Holiday traffic. It got hotter and hotter as we drove South. We have been away for 6 weeks confident the lawn would not need cutting while we were away; its usually brown and dying at the end of August.  Ooops , they must have had rain down South. Lawn looks lush.  This is the birds ground feeder. Mr P got the mower out.
