Localised flooding may occur
Local rain has been falling today - different rain from the previous days, where it just rained incessantly for hours on end. So localised that at one school today, we could see dark foreboding clouds, full of precipitation which didn't come. However, less than a mile away, at another school, they had several Olympic pools-worth fall in a few minutes, soaking everyone before they had a chance to run for cover.
The wind has been fairly strong too. The tree in this garden which overlooks the sea has bent somewhat.
The storm is passing now though - we don't need to see the weather forecast any more because we can see that Svanen has left the shelter of land and headed back to sea - a sure sign.
Sorry to everyone, I've changed the photo, bit because I didn't like the other one, but because this one came along - a huge double rainbow at sunset.
