Birthday girl

Shiv has turned 8 and just as we were about to wish her happy birthday the lights went out.

Turned out that one of the sub stations had a fault and put 18 suburbs in darkness.  Fortunately it only lasted for about an hour and a half and that we had gas to cook on.  The downside was that Shiv is terrified of moving lights so we had to put away torches and rely on the LED lantern that is placed up high.

She eventually enjoyed her birthday treats and decided to sleep with her new toy.
