Going to seed
Thank you for all the lovely comments, hearts and stars yesterday on our milestone anniversary. In 1977 consecutive days of celebration were a breeze and possibly for ten or so years thereafter. But now we're considerably diminished in the party animal stakes so today is passing in a low key-ish fashion.
However, for my birthday treat we paid a visit to the Alnwick Garden and had a thoroughly delightful time. The seed heads are poppies in the Poison Garden and the extra shows the ornamental garden still in beautiful colour.
More crab sandwiches for lunch followed by a walk along the beach at Dunstan Steads to Dunstanburgh Castle and back along the St Oswald Way. It was warm and sunny with no wind at all.
Now back at the hotel and to stave off the going to seed thing I've booked myself into the spa for a treatment or two. The day is drifting by perfectly.
