Another selfie + Archie

After my half hour raising a sweat glow on the bike, I came back home to see Archie running along the pavement to me. He was outside the gate talking to Elizabeth and her dad, who were out walking.

Chris, the tiler, came to fix the hole in the shower wall at last. But when he took more tiles off (they're tiny ones), the wall was damp - water had been getting in my carefully sellotaped plastic covering. So he couldn't do any more. A heater is drying it off this evening, and hopefully he'll be able to come tomorrow. No showers for anyone for a day or two, Archie!

JR went into town to get rands for next week. I took Archie up the hill once Chris had left. After yesterday's selfie, here's another one!

I had my new shoes on when I rushed out the door, so no, I can't take them back now. My toe hasn't complained, so there's no point in further testing around the house. So my knees and the new shoes got a good workout stomping up the hill.

While at the top, I rang Uncle A and told him I'd come round, being half way there already. I have been very remiss in visiting him lately. We compared aches and pains - growing old isn't much fun...
