Thank you for all the appreciation shown to yesterday's curious bouquetin, so pleased to see her on popular.

A fabulous walk up through the ancient woodland above Nant Borrant today, fungi blooming everywhere, the Cascade Noire roaring. But as the walk emerged onto a thin ridge above the Combe Blanche it just lifted a gear and became simply spectacular.

Lunch at the refuge offered the most amazing panoramic views and we lingered longer than we intended - it was just too nice to leave. With the sky darkening we headed down, a new favourite walk discovered.
