Well worth the effort.
I've watched with great interest the Queensferry Crossing bridge construction project, since work started in 2011. Today it opened to traffic! The official opening and so on take place at the weekend. Queues to cross have been long, but undeterred we set off this evening to head into Fife, and celebrate the opening of the new bridge. Poor planning meant our eldest son and girlfriend were 100 cars ahead, although we never did see them. I'm so pleased with the surrounding infrastructure and bridge, such a beautiful iconic design and structure. All in all it's a fantastic achievement and good use of Scottish Government revenue.
We returned by the Kincardine Bridge, opened in 1936, a great bridge of its era.
