Behind the Kirk....
Dry for a change today. First hold up was a calf stuck in a heck in the field this morning. Ended up having to hacksaw one of the bars off the feeder and pull it with the quad bike until the calf's hips were free.
Eventually got away to bale silage but then the hydraulic filter light kept coming on in the tractor so when I finished I had to change the filter which meant a bit of swearing and skinned knuckles.
Gary from McCaskies in for his coffee and left with an order for minerals, feed blocks and an IBC of formalin . Going to be an expensive month !
Went away down to Bonnyrigg and got the 60 acres of wheat straw baled by 7 pm, but it must be the the roughest field in Scotland. Boab's back is nearly buggered tonight!
This is the church at the end of the field. I always prefer to bale this bit in daylight as not keen on graveyards in the dark !
