The Danube

A fabulous day two with the Council of Europe here in Budapest - deep thinking about youth policies and mobility, as well as energising conversations with colleagues from across Europe.

Our evening was spent on a boat pootling up and down the Danube. Simply breathtaking - so many pictures but it just had to be this classic. If you look carefully those white dots above are not stars - but seagulls soaring and circling in the lights. Beautiful.

It was also a total joy to catch up with my friend Zsuzsa who lives here. It's been a couple of years but it was just a delight to spend time catching up and hearing her news. She is a seriously impressive woman doing amazing and tough work here and I'm so proud to call her my friend.
