White Lies

A very smiley Harry McVeigh of White Lies during their set at Liverpool Sound City today. Lovely little festival on the docks, with a defiant feel to it following the horrific events in Manchester last weekend. Following White Lies' set, the mayors of Liverpool and Manchester appeared on stage together in a show of solidarity with stirring speeches. There were armed police on barricades on the streets outside the venue and a cordon of armed officers inside towards the end of the evening, yet all were in good spirits and their presence helped the festival crowd feel safer.
