Summer Sport

Sailing out of Ijmuiden, the rain lashing down, wind blowing, temperature at Scottish levels! Didn't bother these hardy souls who were zipping about good style. They were surfing in a bay on the far side of the harbour breakwater and I might have got a better shot if I'd ventured onto the ferry deck but the summer has softened me up and I stayed safely behind spray-spattered glass!

The trip across from Homberg was thankfully fairly uneventful with a pretty minimal amount of roadworks and traffic jams and just a couple of downpours in Holland to contend with. A few beers and an early night are in order.
