Special treat

It was wonderful to see all the bible study ladies again today. Everyone back from their holidays, sharing their highs and lows over the summer. A wonderful bunch of gals!

Did a bit of baking for a cupcake order tomorrow before heading into town with Ben for a shop. Still some things to get before they leave next week.

Then met up with Martin and headed to the Cultural Centre as we were invited by our dear friends Lorne and Nadine. Lorne had 4 free tickets to the opening concert of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, for the season, as his company was one of the main sponsors! Lucky us!

The pianist was Yuja Wang who is one of the best pianists in the world! True story. We know some of the musicians in the HK Phil and they told us on the ferry back to DB! Here's a link if your interested

Extra shows HK Chief Executive Carrie Lam who was an honorary guest and some other dignitaries. Was quite thrilled to see her there as she is HK's brand new leader and the first female CE.

A truly enjoyable day indeed.

PS. The other extra is of Victoria Harbour earlier as another thunderstorm caused very low visibility, you can hardly see across to Central.
