Community Orchard

A welcome visit to Dunkeld for lunch and  a chat with friend L.  We had a light lunch at the Birnam Institute and spend some time viewing her recent holiday photos on her iPad.

She was keen for me to visit the Community Orchard there as I had heard lots about it, so we took our cameras with us and took endless shots of ripe apples, not-so-ripe brambles and rosebay willow herb.  She may enter one of hers for the orchard photography competition, which is for locals only, however hard she tried to get me to enter too:-)

An amazing variety of apple, plum and pear trees and all the produce free for the picking when it is ready.  I came home with a gift of Jumbo and Bramley cooking apples and will enjoy several crumbles!

A lovely warm and sunny day and not a drop of rain.  Long may it continue:-)
