August's Last Stand

A bit more dramatic than last evening's sunset ... Although I'm still not sure if it was visible as it reached the horizon ... Either way, this was August's last attempt ... :o)

What I want to know, however, is that if there are 31 days in August - and I'm sure I was awake for all of those days (well, most of them at least) - how come the month only seemed to last about ten days ... ??? ... :o/
